The UltraTech Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Construction Materials was inaugurated at the Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad campus, with the esteemed presence of Er. Rahul Goel, Zonal Head & Vice President of UltraTech Cement.
This Centre of Excellence stands as a shining example of a fruitful Industry-Institute Partnership between SISTec Ratibad and UltraTech Cement. The collaboration is focused on promoting innovation and facilitating knowledge exchange in the realm of sustainable construction materials.
With the support of Director Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh, Principal Dr. Manish Billore, Head of Civil Engineering Dept., Dr. Swajit Singh Goud, and Centre Coordinator DrManish Dubey, we are committed to fostering innovation and sustainability in construction.
Ultratech Cement and SISTec Ratibad have also inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant milestone in our journey towards sustainable construction.
This collaboration paves the way for groundbreaking research and development in eco-friendly building materials.
Training Session on the Importance of Waterproofing in Construction and Existing Buildings

The Department of Civil Engineering at Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad recently hosted a Training Session On The Importance of Waterproofing in Construction and Existing Buildings. The event took place on May 23, 2024, and was attended by second-year and pre-final-year students of the Civil Engineering department. The session was led by Mr. Vijay Singh, Technical Manager of the Building Product Division at Ultratech Noida.
Mr. Singh provided valuable insights into the various defects in buildings that highlight the necessity of waterproofing. He also discussed the five key stages of building construction where waterproofing plays a crucial role. Following this, the technical team from Ultratech led a hands-on practice session to demonstrate the application of waterproofing techniques.
The students expressed their appreciation for the session, noting that it expanded their knowledge beyond the confines of their regular syllabus. This training was organized under the esteemed Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Construction Material, a collaboration between SISTec Ratibad and Ultratech Cement.
