NSS Day 2022

On the occasion of NSS Day, the National Service Scheme Unit, Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad organized a Poster Making Competition on the theme of "Clean India, Green India". Furthermore, a tree plantation drive was also organized to further the cause for today's theme.
Har Ghar Tiranga

Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad celebrated the "Har Ghar Tiranga" event today, in the gracious presence of the MLA (Huzur, Bhopal) Shri Rameshwar Sharma. The event was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of SISTec.
Mr. Sharma commended this gesture of the institute to mark "Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav", 75 Years of Independence. In his power-packed speech, he addressed the audience regarding the struggle and sacrifice of our freedom fighters, evolution post-independence, and the mark India has created on a global level in the present day. He also gave away prizes to the winners of the poster-making competition organized earlier in the day.
Storytelling and Poetry recitation competition

The Student Activity Council (SAC SISTec-Ratibad) and National Service Scheme (#NSS) Unit at Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad jointly organized a #storytelling and #poetry recitation competition on the occasion of #NationalYouthDay.
Nukkad Natak

Students of National Service Scheme (#NSS) conducted a Nukkad Natak in the morning assembly on “Water Conservation”, with an aim to spread awareness on current water scarcity issues faced in rural and urban places and also how it can be managed. The performance was very informative and received lots of praise from the crowd.
All the NSS Volunteers pledged to continue such selfless services towards community work. The Nukkad Natak will soon be presented on the streets of #Bhopal to impart such awareness on a grand level.
The Rakshin Project

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit in association with Sākshi (NGO) under The Ministry of Youth Affairs conducted an awareness workshop at Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad. The Workshop was taken by Sākshi Team members: Ms. Smita Bharti, Ms. Anumeet Sarna, Ms. Shachi Nelli, Ms. Natashja Rathore, and Mr. Swarnim Sen.
The motto was to strengthen Youth as powerful enablers for creating a Constitutional Rights Based Enabled Environment in the context of Gender Equality, focusing on building awareness about the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSOA),2012.
Under the Equality Umbrella, the workshop with the NSS volunteers focused on:
- Awareness Sessions on rights and responsibilities for Gender Equality.
- Orientations and Capacity Building for compliance with POCSOA 2012.
- Experiential activities and exercises to capture the imagination of the Youth to encourage proactive participation.
At the end of these sessions, the NSS POCSOA Champions are equipped with:
- The capacity to prevent, prohibit, and intervene in instances of sexual offenses against children.
- If any of them have been subjected personally, they will be guided towards tools that resolve and heal the residual PTSD.
- These Champions will be sufficiently exposed to the punitive actions ensuing from the offense, as well as the impact of sexual offenses on the victims in order to create a prohibitive mindset towards any probable offense.
