The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad organized a 5-Day Workshop on "Aeromodelling" in association with Beyond Gravity Bhopal and sponsored by Madhya Pradesh Council of Science & Technology MPCST Bhopal.

This workshop was dedicated to learning the technology behind the making of aircraft. The participating students got a hands-on opportunity to Design, Build, and Fly an RC Air Plane upon successful completion of the workshop. On Day 1 the students covered the basics of aerodynamics, understood the parts of an airplane, the forces acting on it, the balancing of the airplane, the development of a chuck glider from foam, and the Balsa - flight test of glider. Day 2 to Day 5 included the basics of electronics relevant to RC aeromodelling (radio controls, servo motors), stability & control of an airplane, and the final development of the airplane.
