RGPV Nodal Level Volleyball & Yoga Tournament at SISTec Ratibad

Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad hosted the RGPV Nodal Level Volleyball and Yoga Tournament for Men and Women on the 18th and 19th of October 2022 at the college campus. Teams from various colleges arrived to be a part of this grand event.

The event started with the ceremonial lamp lighting followed by welcoming words from Dr. Manish Billore (Principal, SISTec Ratibad). The SAC Sports Coordinator gave a brief intro to the event and layout of the matches, after which an Oath Ceremony took place to abide by the event rules and maintain sportsmanship conduct. Chief Guest Dr. K.T. Chaturvedi, Dean of Student Welfare RGPV declared open the tournaments.

In the Yoga Tournament, a total of 30 candidates participated with 15 boys and 15 girls, displaying some amazing yoga asanas.

The awards for the Men's Yoga Tournament went to:

  • Third Prize was secured by Pushpraj Singh from VIT, Bhopal
  • Second Prize was secured by Vikas Kumar Dube from LNCT, Bhopal
  • First Prize was secured by Nikhil Gour from SATI, Vidisha

The awards for the Women's Yoga Tournament went to:

  • Third Prize was secured by Nupur Hardiya from SATI, Vidisha
  • Second Prize was secured by Harshita Patel from SATI, Vidisha
  • First Prize was secured by Shayli Lodhi from LNCT, Bhopal

In the Volleyball Tournament, 16 Men's and 6 Women's teams participated. The matches were very thrilling, with some splendid maneuvers that maxed out the excitement for all present.

The winners of the Men's Volleyball Tournament were:

  • Second Prize was secured by LNCT, Bhopal
  • First Prize went to Oriental, Bhopal

The winners of the Women's Volleyball Tournament were:

  • Second Prize was secured by SATI, Vidisha
  • First Prize went to LNCT, Bhopal

The Two Day Event concluded with an Award Distribution Ceremony. Director Sagar Group of Institutions Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh, Principal SISTec Ratibad Dr. Manish Billore, General Manager Admissions Mr. Akshat Shukla, Head of Mechanical Engineering Mr. Kshitij Yugbodh, Asst. Prof. Mechanical Engg. Mr. Dhiraj Singh, Sports Officer SISTec Mr. Neelesh Mishra, and Sports Officer, SISTec Ratibad Mr. Arun Verma presented the trophies to the respective players.
