A Centre of Excellence in Farm Machinery was inaugurated at the Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad campus by the Director of ICAR-Central Institute of Agriculture Engineering Bhopal Dr. C. R. Mehta, along with Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, TMTL Shri Saji K. Paul, the President of the Association of All Industries Mandideep Dr. Rajeev Agrawal, and the Senior Associate Vice President of Service and Training at Eicher Tractors Mr. Rohit Kumar Sachan.

The CoE, a live example of an Industry-Institute Partnership, is a joint venture of SISTec Ratibad and Eicher Tractors, with an intention of upskilling engineering students, and community development through creating awareness about advanced farm machinery and equipment to enhance agricultural productivity and efficiency.

As Chief Guest of the Inaugural function, Dr. Mehta congratulated the team SISTec-Eicher to get this unique concept on the ground and emphasized the need for technological development of advanced farm machinery and equipment in order to improve agricultural productivity. He also urged the youngsters to collaborate more with the relevant industries in order to achieve their goals.

As told by the Centre Coordinators Dr. Abhishek Choubey of SISTec and Mr. Vipin Kumar Vishwakarma of Eicher, this Centre of Excellence is targeted to serve as a hub for research, development, and training in the field of farm machinery, and is expected to play a key role in promoting the adoption of advanced technologies among farmers across the country. It will further help the students and researchers of the institute who have already developed a few projects in the field of modern agriculture, thereby receiving accolades on the national level.
